The assessors office has a photographer out taking pictures of properties for an extended amount of time. Please contact the Assessor's Office at 689-7405 for vehicle confirmation, if concern arises.

Amanda’s Law
Carbon monoxide alarm requirements to go into effect February 22, 2010
 As the result of legislation, Amanda’s Law will go into effect on February 22, 2010.  It requires essentially all residences, both new and existing, to have carbon monoxide alarms installed.  The specific requirements differ for new and existing residences and also on when the buildings were built and subcategories of occupancy groups. 
 Probably the most asked question will be the requirement for existing one and two family residences.  They will be required to have one carbon monoxide alarm installed on the lowest story having a sleeping area.

 We are please to announce the JET bus now transports seniors 60+ and disabled citizens to both medical and non-medical appointments. Beginning March 8th this service will also include local shopping trips. the JET will initially be available for shopping on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. This service is free of charge, but donations are always welcome.

Beginning this year, legislation requires that taxpayers who earn more than $500,000 will no longer receive the Basic STAR exemption. To confirm your eligibility, your assessor may ask you to provide information about your income (see Assessing page for income definition).

Directions To Town of Elbridge Municipal Offices...

From the East:                                                                                                                  

Take I-690 W to Exit 6 towards RT-5/Auburn. Merge onto NY-695 S. Merge onto NY-5 W toward Auburn. Follow RT-5 W through the Village of Elbridge. Turn right onto HAMILTON Rd. Turn left onto MCLAUGHLIN Dr. Turn right onto NY-31. Town Offices on the left across from the Lilly Pad.

From the Thruway: 

Take the NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY  to exit 40 Weedsport/Auburn. Turn right onto RT-34. Turn left onto RT-31. Follow RT-31 into Jordan. Town Offices will be on your left after the Jordan-Elbridge Community Center.

From Auburn:

Take RT-5 towards Elbridge. Turn left onto HAMILTON Rd. Turn left onto MCLAUGHLIN Dr. Turn right onto RT-31. Town Offices on the left.
