Sr. STAR Exemption Notice
The year a resident property owner turns 65
years of age, you are eligible to apply for the Sr. STAR Exemption.
You must apply by March 1st or the first Monday of March, of
that year, in order to be considered for the exemption. You must
also prove your age and submit proof of all [combined] income using
the previous years tax return(s) [Ex.: Filing for year 2009 you need
proof of your 2007income]. If you should not have to file tax
returns, then you must submit proof of income by submitting copies of
all 1099 forms of income [if you come to our office we can make copies
for you].
